Part Time
We have 2 brand new restaurants on our campus that are not open yet. They will be open soon. Until they open, you may work similar hours as mentioned above and train in other campus kitchens awaiting their grand opening scheduled spring 2023. Once they are fully opened, you will then work the hours mentioned above. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • We have a large Catering Department for onsite private events for our residents and staff members
  • Our Executive Chef Paul Kennedy was trained by Chef Albert Henri Roux who was a three Star Michelin winner in the UK. Our Executive Chef Paul Kennedy has 20+ years experience working in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Bangkok & Washington DC.   • We will open 3 more dining rooms, including Contemporary Dining, Café Grill Dining and Fine Dining
  • We will install a Stone Pizza Oven currently being hand-built in Italy for casual and gourmet pizza's
  • We will open 2 more kitchens, including 1 kitchen measuring at 3000+ square feet
  • We are currently hiring and will be ramping up our hiring needs in January 2023

Background Check:

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager and Assistant Dining Room Manager, presents a positive first impression of the dining room’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. Greets guests upon arrival, ensures residents’ and guests’ dining experience is more than they expected and gives a warm and pleasant farewell to residents.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional image.
Greets residents and guests upon entering the dining room and escorts them to the appropriate table. Offers assistance if necessary.
Keeps host/hostess station clean and organized. Ensures all menus are clean. Restocks necessary supplies and assists in keeping all dining and service areas up to standard.
Performs shift change and/or closing duties.
Answer telephone in a courteous manner and answers questions accordingly. Takes and manages reservations per dining room policy.
Keeps the Dining Room Manager and Assistant Dining Room Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Maintains confidentiality for residents to meet HIPAA guidelines.
Full understanding of residents’ rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse. Is responsible for promptly reporting to the Health Services Director, or President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) incidents or evidence of resident abuse or a violation of residents’ rights.
May perform other duties such as assigned.
Attends and participates in training activities, meetings and seminars and assists other departments as needed.
Exhibit qualities of a team player and interacts courteously, appropriately with patience and concern for the needs of the elderly and maintains a positive attitude while interacting with residents, guests, families, and co-workers.
Addresses problems and conflicts in a professional and effective manner with supervised staff, allowing for opportunities of learning and growth, and facilitating such opportunities in a respectful manner.
Assists in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment. Reports all deficiencies to the appropriate person, such as equipment problems, need for repair or special needs of residents.
Knowledge and Skills:
Has knowledge of Maricopa County food regulations and sanitation requirements.
Obtains a Maricopa County food handler’s card within 30 days of employment. We will assist you.
Is organized, able to multi-task, think creatively and adapt to different situations.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, or currently attending high school.
Preferably has experience working in a casual or formal dining environment.
Communication Skills:
Has a clear speaking voice, and is fluent in English. Being bilingual would be a plus.
Has ability to speak, work, and interface with all levels of co-workers, residents, guests, and employees.
Has ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Demonstrates excellent customer service etiquette.
Physical Requirements:
Is dressed neatly and is well groomed in company approved uniform with I.D. badge visible at all times.
Has manual dexterity to perform any of the job functions.
Can stand, walk, sit, reach, and bend. Is able to maneuver around kitchen, office, and storage areas. Can operate a fire extinguisher, manipulate kitchen equipment.
Is able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
Is able to lift 25 pounds.
Can tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, steam, and odors.
Is able to hear normal to raised voices and see 50 feet; prosthetics can be used for correction.
Is free of contagious diseases that may be transmitted through food.
