BestBrands Furniture Outlet, America's Furniture Store, ASHLEY HOMESTORE & ASHLEY OUTLET is immediately hiring Home Furnishings Consultants at our Decatur, IL BestBrands/Ashley Outlet location! The Home Furnishings Sales Consultant is responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience to all of our valued guests by offering superior customer service and expert knowledge of our product offerings. In order to be successful in this role, candidates must have prior demonstrated sales/customer service experience or ability, must be highly motivated and disciplined, possess excellent communication skills and have the genuine desire to help others.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Retail Sales Professionals must have a minimum of 1yr proven sales experience or sales-related/customer service experience.

· Computer proficiency, experience with Point of Sale Systems and Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Cheerful, friendly, professional demeanor.

· Ability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Strong organizational skills, strong work ethic and disciplined.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· High energy positive attitude and a motivated self-starter.

· Desire to succeed and advance.

· Determining wants and needs of the customer during their visit.

· Team player who does their best for customers & coworkers

· Demonstrating effective closing skills.

· Accurately entering information in the point-of-sale system.

· Handling customer purchase paperwork and tracking orders.

· Communicating with customers after the sale.

· Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise
