HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SERVICES MANAGER

Work Location: Roseland School District as assigned
Hours/Work Year: 211 days/year
Responsible to: School Site Principal or designee
Salary: Placement on Student Services Manager Pay Scale

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the School Principal or designee, the Student Services Manager will provide leadership in the areas of student services, activities and classified staff management. The Student Services Manager will promote a school environment of high expectations and family-like school culture. This manager is a key person in supporting a school culture of innovation built upon a vision of high school graduation for all students with opportunities for college and post secondary training opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Hire, supervise and evaluate classified staff
2. Oversee Sports Coordinator activities for quality and compliance
3. Coordinate Intervention Meetings for students who are not meeting academic standards a/o experiencing behavior issues
4. Coordinate scheduling of parent meetings as needed
5. Attend Coordinated Service Team meetings
6. Chaperone school activities such as dances, sports events, and evening/weekend events as assigned
7. Meet with students who are not meeting attendance standards
8. Supervise student assistants
9. Supervise students before, during and after school as needed
10. Schedule and supervise secondary assistant assigned to Student Services Manager
11. Develop schedules for various school-wide student enrichment programs
12. Assist with coordination of student activities and assemblies such as; Student of the

Month and Honor Roll assemblies, Portfolio Day, Promotion, Graduation and Senior
Awards ceremonies, etc.

13. As assigned serve on district and school committees pertaining to college selection, career education, WASC, Accelerated School cadres, adhocs and workgroups, as well other related committees

14. All other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS
Work and Educational Experience
● Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
● Desirable: College degree, teaching credential
● Desirable: Experience in the related school-level setting: elementary, middle, or high school
● Desirable: Bilingual Spanish

Abilities
● Knowledge of basic computer operations, high school graduation requirements, parental involvement, student academic intervention and support resources.
● Knowledge of student behavioral expectations, ability to successfully motivate students.

Assist with helping to make connection between high school graduation, college entrance and their future careers.

● Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Self-motivated.
● Communicate effectively and constructively with people of diverse cultures, language groups, and abilities. Demonstrate sensitivity and ability to work with the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of students, families and staff. Ability to communicate effectively with students, families and the community both orally and in writing. Ability to build positive connections, representing Roseland Charter School in a positive manner.

Travel Requirements – A valid California Driver’s license and evidence of appropriate automobile insurance based on DMV regulations may be required. This position requires frequent traveling by employee’s own vehicle and/or by airplane, and sometimes with overnight stays.

Pay: $49,492.00 - $91,378.00 per year
