Job Title: HERRC Clinical Team Lead (Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center)

Pay Rate: $40 - $55 per hour

Hours: 7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am

Reports to: Chief Medical Officer

Job Description:

You will be supervising staff providing services in Brooklyn, New York to a migrant population in a humanitarian emergency response and recovery center. Care will include COVID surveillance and basic first aid through intake, triage, assessment of vital signs, administration of OTC medications. Access to telehealth advanced practice providers and emergency services when escalation of clinical care is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a Team Lead, monitoring clinical operations to ensure the delivery of quality and cost-effective service
  • Works as part of a leadership team with operations management staff
  • Monitors operations to ensure that all personnel comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Manages inventory, stocking/and cleanliness cleaning to ensure they meet or exceed state requirements in regard to maintenance, equipment, supplies and cleanliness.
  • Perform supervisory duties including, hiring recommendations, corrective action, performance appraisals, counseling, work scheduling, training and budgeting in compliance with federal, state, city, EEOC and Affirmative Action guidelines.
  • Report and document incidents to direct supervisor
  • Ensure proper communication of all company policies to all staff members timely and effectively
  • Maintain company compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Troubleshoot problems in clinical field activities and implement possible solutions.
  • Report any and all problems, information, and/or suggestions regarding the overall operation of the company to your direct supervisor.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Serve migrant patient population through triage, assessing basic healthcare needs and performing COVID surveillance
  • Navigate conversations related to management of health, well-being, over the counter medication management, COVID related education
  • Provide supervised, directed treatment of common medical diagnoses
  • Participate in continuing education as required by the state you are licensed in
  • Adhere to clinical and safety standards and protocols
  • Provide care with cultural sensitivity and compassion
  • Lead your team with a patient-centered approach
  • Other related duties as deemed necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
  • Active BLS required
  • Supervisor experience required
  • Must possess leadership skills
  • Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, Hospital - Critical Care, Family Practice
  • Active and current driver's license
  • Current unrestricted license NY State LPN or RN
  • Ability to wear PPE including N95 when applicable
  • Bilingual - Spanish Speaking REQUIRED
