We are seeking a talented individual to join our IT team. The Helpdesk Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of computer and computer-related equipment, basic administration of network hardware, and troubleshooting of software issues for all Puget Sound Kidney Centers (PSKC) facilities.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Microsoft (MCP, MCSA/SE) and/or CompTIA (A+ or N+) certification preferred.
  • Valid Washington State diver's license, and insurable on the PSKC automobile policy.
  • Minimum of two years' experience with computers, networks, and software.

Location and Hours:

This is a regular, full-time (40 hours/week) position and is based out of our Regional Administrative Office in Bremerton. Ability to travel and work at other PSKC clinic locations is required. Work hours are flexible, but must be available to work during our core hours of 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday-
Friday unless otherwise authorized by the supervisor.


Compensation

Hourly pay range for this position is $17.51 - $29.30 per hour. Wage offers are determined based on multiple factors including previous experience in the same or similar role.

Essential Functions


  • Respond to requests for technical support via phone, email, and in person, including after business hours and weekend stand-by coverage.
  • Follow standard helpdesk and ticketing system procedures:
    • Track and route problems and requests.
    • Document solutions.
    • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
  • Basic administration and troubleshooting of PSKC Electronic Medical Records system:
    • Reset user logins/passwords.
    • Reset server sessions.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis machine interface equipment (Digiports).
  • Provide daily management of EMR carts, including maintenance (battery maintenance/replacement, hardware troubleshooting, keyboard, mice, JACO power system, USB ports, Power inverter, CC adapter card, monitor, software troubleshooting network interface card, software, RDP).
  • Troubleshoot basic desktop/laptop hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with PSKC’s information privacy and security compliance efforts and system audit processes.
  • Assist with printer and fax troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and track computer hardware, software, and IT equipment inventory.
  • Manage and train PSKC users on use of training room AV equipment.
  • Assist with Web Filtering policies for each patient facility, including granting access to website requests.
  • Provide daily management of dialysis machines (workstation portion):
    • Setup: Install Windows 7 and configure OS environment for use on network.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot issues.
  • Installation, troubleshooting and problem resolution of Digiport connectivity, including:
    • Resetting/rebooting devices and ports via web interface.
    • RS232, CAT5 cable connections, Digiport switch and patch panels.
  • Deploy and support Patient and Corporate Wi-Fi infrastructure:
    • Open mesh patient/staff Wi-Fi deployment, configuration and management.
    • Create, distribute, and manage access vouchers.
  • Support of PBX system:
    • Functions of 8 button DTH phones.
    • Features available (programming features).
    • Troubleshooting tickets for phones.
  • Create and maintain network documentation.
  • Provide assistance and ongoing support for education website courses.
    • Add course content and video as requested.
    • Record webinar videos for education website as needed.
    • Coordinate and deliver PSKC facility wide Webinar setup.
    • Provide training for new techs and nurses during tech class period.
  • Provide project support and perform other functions as directed by the Head, Information Systems.
