Help Desk Technician

Afineol IT Consulting has an opportunity for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Help Desk Technician in our Roseville, CA office. We are a premier IT Managed Service Provider in the Greater Sacramento area that offers Enterprise Solutions, an Exceptional Help Desk, and Raving Fan Level Customer Service. Customer Service

  • Very friendly - smiles a lot
  • Coordinate and ensure that quality customer service is provided to all Clients and End Users
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical users of all business levels and skillsets
  • Listen to Client needs and take steps to logically solve while minimizing the impact on the End User
  • Act as a representative of Afineol with our End Users

  • Logically moves to the next issue with minimal direction
  • Open and close tickets in a timely manner – must have experience with a ticketing system (PSA)

Help Desk

  • Primarily works with our clients to ensure timely issue resolution and escalations including the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and repair support for connectivity, access, application/service, operating system, and related hardware requests within established standards and guidelines.
  • Interact with numerous technology platforms and solutions in a diverse Client environment
  • Maintain logical and physical networks containing HPE, Dell, VMware, Meraki, and APC devices
  • Familiar with the support of Microsoft products that include AD account management, Office 365 products, Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams
  • Analyses of infrastructure monitoring alerts and takes corrective actions as necessary. Ensures that monitoring alert response and completion times are minimized
  • Work with Client associated vendors to resolve technical issues with supported hardware and applications
  • Strong emphasis on Network Administration, Hardware Support, Connectivity
  • Implement established project plans within a team
  • Ability to physically and logically deploy technology in a server room
  • Determine technical solutions for business needs based on End User requests while Onsite
  • Willingness to work overtime, after hours, and weekends as required by a project
  • Availability to participate in rotating on call schedule

Experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Certified Professional
  • Prior MSP experience
  • AutoTask, Datto RMM, IT Glue a plus

Skill Set

  • Problem solving skills
  • Networking knowledge
  • Routing/Switching (VLANs, STP, MTU)
  • RAID configuration
  • TCP/IP Concepts (OSI, Subnetting, NAT)
  • VPN
  • 802.11
  • Packet Capture and Analysis

  • Experience using internal Knowledge Base
  • Create effective documentation for Internal and End Users
  • Recognize and follow escalation procedures
  • Must have a current Driver’s License, clean DMV record, and current auto insurance

Essential Physical Functions

  • Ability to sit, see, hear, and speak for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stand, squat, crouch and lift arms above head for filing purposes
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for 6 to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to type and operate a computer constantly throughout a workday
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be able to speak, write, and understand English fluently

Afineol IT Consulting (Afineol) is a growing Managed Service Provider for the greater Sacramento region. We are located in Roseville CA, and provide Help Desk support to Clients located throughout the United States. Our standard hours of operation are 7:30 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
