True North Hearing part of Alpaca Audiology is looking for an motivated, patient-centered, detailed Hearing Care Assistant who wants to be a part of the largest private practice group in America! The Hearing Healthcare Assistant will play an essential role by supporting the Hearing Instrument Specialists with patient care on a daily basis. The right individual will assist with patient intake, discussing medical history, and finishing clinical or administrative tasks including updating medical records.

Basic Duties:

• HIS Triage: Address phone calls, assist walk-in patients, and conduct hearing aid troubleshooting.
• Perform hearing aid clean and checks and earmold retubing, both in-office and curbside
• Check warranties and process loss and damage claims and repairs
• Update patient charts as needed
• Assist with Third Party billing as needed
• Check-in hearing aids and prepare aids and materials for dispense
• Call patients to schedule pickup/repair/earmold appointments
• Assist with inventory of hearing aid supplies such as batteries, brochures, earbuds, wax guards, etc..
• Process standard product hearing aid orders and returns for credit to the manufacturer
• Assist with insurance verification as needed
• Conduct other administrative and clinical duties as assigned
