The Contracts Administrator plays an important role as the Diversified Businesses grow and advance in products and services with new and existing clients. This position will draft Master Service Agreements (MSA) Statements of Work (SOW) and associated Amendments, Change Requests & Task Orders. In addition, this position prepares management reports to summarize the status of contract development, provides information to aid in management decision-making and maintains and tracks executed contract information. This position will work across functional and leadership levels to ensure contracts are produced and aligned to supporting business and client goals.

Position Essential Functions:

  • Interacting and collaborating with internal stakeholders from leadership, Business Development, Product Development, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, and other functional business areas as applicable to gather information necessary to draft various contractual agreements (including MSAs, SOWs, Amendments, Task Orders and Change Orders).
  • Education of functional and operational partners about meeting client needs on contract specifics impacting their business areas.
  • Support in designing and implementing contract processes, policies, procedures, templates and standards.
  • Coordinate internal business owners to obtain input for agreements regarding functional and operational requirements while partnering with Legal and Compliance on regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare contracts for signature by the authorized officer.
  • Analyzing with business owners and summarizing key contract terms to support decision-making and repeatable processes.
  • Partner with Quality Management in supporting delegation oversight audits performed by customers to ensure contract compliance.
  • Other tasks as assigned, including managing certain regulatory and compliance ad hoc projects that affect customer agreement and contracting.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years related work experience in business operations, contracting, health care and/or wellness, and/or project management experience
  • Related Bachelors degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • Requires tactical knowledge process improvement to promote a change in procedural compliance.
  • Proven ability to partner across management levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Experience in business-to-business or vendor contracting, including contract drafting and terminology, documenting contract changes, managing contract controls, and ability to conduct risk and reward analysis
  • Ability to have a strong understanding of products and services to partner with internal business owners in contract development
  • A good understanding of standard practices for contracting
  • Ability to work independently, reviewing contract issues and recommending appropriate resolutions in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to comprehend complex problems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Must possess computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties

Preferred:

  • Understanding of technology-related professional services
  • Possess a good working knowledge and understanding of legal, risk and business implications of contract language

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Physical/Environmental Activities:

Must be able to occasionally travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, and conferences).
