The Teradyne Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, energetic, technically driven Hardware Engineering Manager to lead teams in the development of products within the Semiconductor Test division. Development occurs in a dynamic multi-site development environment. This individual will report directly to the Senior Hardware Engineering Manager.
Our Hardware Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a Team to support released Semiconductor Test Systems and Instruments. Candidate will coordinate the efforts to understand and resolve engineering related defects for the installed base of existing systems. This position will report to a Senior Engineering Manager in North Reading. This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities
Base System – Power Infrastructure and Communication Interface, CalibrationDC Instruments – including High Density, High Accuracy, High Voltage and Current
AC Instruments – Including High Performance Audio instruments
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance
- Lead Teams during projects, such as instrument redesigns due to defects, discontinued components, and feature enhancements
- Track and report on cases assigned to their team using a Case Tracking database
- Work with Engineering Teams in Buffalo Grove, IL and San Jose, Costa Rica
- Integrate with Global Support Organization responsible for Semiconductor Test products including Marketing, Applications, Operations and Supply Line Management
- Communicate status of projects, cases and issues to Customers and Senior Management
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- 5-10 years of engineering experience in design or technical support of released hardware products consisting of Analog and Digital circuitry
- Strong leadership, cross-functional integration, organizational, and communication skills are required
- Strong troubleshooting experience
- Management experience a plus
Education
- Education requirements of BSEE or equivalent
