Come join the CAM Property Services Team as part of our Handyman crew!
As a Handyman you will respond to service calls in a timely fashion and demonstrate courteous and professional attitude. You will troubleshoot, repair and/or escalate issues as appropriate. You will be expected to safely operate and maintain equipment with OSHA guidelines. You will be expected to maintain an accurate service tracker and develop a service maintenance plan for customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work on both residential & commercial service calls and renovations.
  • Must have knowledge and be able to perform the basics in plumbing, electrical work, drywall, paint, and general maintenance
  • Electrical work experience- changing outlets, fans, lights. Plus, if you have subpanel experience
  • Plumbing work experience- changing angle stops, soldering, ABS work, Toilet changes
  • Undertake light installation or carpentry (e.g., build cabinets)
  • Drywall and paint experience- taping, mudding, drywall, using a sprayer, and roller
  • General Maintenance- Installing doors, door locks, handles, etc.
  • HVAC, putting in new filters, changing thermostats, etc.
  • General preventative (handyman) maintenance of facilities
  • Identify and report the need for major repairs
  • Ability to determine when issues need to be escalated
  • Complete repairs and fill out invoice/paperwork/pictures with details of work performed per visit

Work Schedule + Benefits:

  • Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)
  • Salary: $17.50 -$22/hour
  • Hours: Morning or afternoon shift: 6a.m.-3p.m. or 3p.m.-12a.m.
  • Work nights: Monday-Friday (Saturdays OT)
  • Travel (Driving) is required throughout Southern California
  • Medical, dental, vision

Qualifications

  • Cleanup experience a plus
  • Work experience in Construction (preferred)
  • Experienced using tools
  • Proven track record of dependability and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Physical requirement: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
