As the Guest Services Shuttle Driver, you are responsible for transporting our guests to and from restaurants and other areas in Taos County, safely and efficiently while working closely with Guest Services staff. In this role you will provide our guests transportation and access to recreation and activities in and around our area. As the Guest Services Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for inspecting, cleaning and maintaining vehicles and report to the Front Office Manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Cleans vehicle between guests
  • Helps Hotel staff when needed.
  • Able to drive in any weather condition.
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled shifts.
  • Is legally able to drive a motor vehicle in the State of New Mexico and can pass the required medical and driving tests as required by Taos Ski Valley, Inc.
  • Is legally able to work in the United States and has the proper documentation for employment.
  • Greets all passengers consistently and offers assistance as a representative of Taos Ski Valley, Inc.
  • Maintains a pleasant and cheerful attitude in and out of the shuttle.
  • Communicates effectively with Front Office Manager, Guest Services Staff and guests.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills; is able to maintain premier quality service required by the regional door-to-door service.
  • Records crucial data in Vehicle Logs.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Maintains a clean driving record.
  • Is able to drive any vehicle assigned to him/her.
  • Handles minor conflict in traffic in Taos or Taos Ski Valley calmly and professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR check.

  • Proven expert driving skills.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact professional with employees and guest passengers.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during holidays and peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:
Frequently lifting up to 10-25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50-75 pounds. Sitting approximately 30-40% of the time. Walking, reaching, and bending approximately 30-40% of the time. This position requires individuals to speak and hear as they interact with guests on a frequent basis. This position will require individuals to be out in winter conditions 10% of the time.

Background Check:
Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving, or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
