Overview:

Thompson Pipe Group is now looking for a reliable, professional security guard to patrol and monitor our premises. In this position, you will prevent theft, violence by maintaining a high visible presence and preventing all illegal or inappropriate actions. You must detect, deter, observe, and report all issues to increase overall safety in our facility

Essential Functions:

• Patrol premises randomly and regularly, including buildings and perimeter
• Watch for signs of crime or disorder; investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully at all times in direct defense of life or property
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Act as a consistent presence to deter criminals
• Evict violators of rules and regulations
• Report any suspicious/unusual occurrences to authorities and management
• Monitor alarm systems and video cameras
• Complete daily activity reports and incidents reports
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic computer skills necessary for reporting and communications
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Extensive working knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Willingness to comply with all laws and institutional regulations at all times
• Keen surveillance skills and detail orientation.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule
• Integrity, professionalism, and character beyond reproach
• Good communication skills – verbal and written. Bilingual a plus, but not required.
• Integrity and moral fitness
• Reliability and dependability is a MUST
• Must have dependable transportation.
• Must Pass Background Check

Required Education:

• High School degree or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience in the field or related area

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Sunday, Hours vary. 8-10 hr. shifts (3-4 days a week). Graveyard shift.

Travel

• Company vehicle provided to patrol site.
