About the Role
The Marketing Strategy and Analysis Group Manager is responsible for managing a team that delivers project-based decision support – research and business analytics to structure, inform, and drive critical business decisions. The Group Manager and the team members define, structure, manage and deliver strategic assessments, market research projects, and other activities to define and support the global Urology division and franchise strategies.
The manager is expected to be a team player in supporting the Urology marketing and franchise leadership teams on important initiatives for the organization. In order to do so, the manager is expected to develop relationships with business partners, perform creative analytics and research to develop compelling recommendations, and provide excellent project management. The Group Manager is responsible for developing the team’s capabilities, coaching and developing each team member, and empowering them to independently and successfully manage their own projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team responsible for conducting market research and strategic assessments for core or adjacent growth opportunities and business development programs
  • Collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders, including marketing, R&D, clinical, health economics, business development, sales, and FP&A
  • Develop and implement structured, practical, fact-based approach to strategy development, valuation, and business plans
  • Define and utilize a broad range of secondary research, primary qualitative and primary quantitative research techniques to derive market and customer insights
  • Plan and organize project assignments of substantial variety and complexity; defining and managing overall schedule for project and milestones (both owned & assigned to others); often serving as project lead coordinating activities of a cross-functional team
  • Ensure day-to-day Marketing Strategy and Analysis activities effectively support divisional priorities and revenue objectives
  • Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Healthcare/BioMedical required
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, market research, business strategy/analytics or product marketing experience in the healthcare field, required
  • Strong financial analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience defining and utilizing a broad range of secondary research, primary qualitative and primary quantitative research techniques to derive market and customer insights
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and indirectly influencing business objectives
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in the healthcare field, required
  • Experience working as an internal or external consultant with responsibility for line customers preferred, preferably in the medical device, medical technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree, strongly preferred
  • Experience leading and developing team members, preferred
