The Director of Government Relations increases this awareness by collaborating with stakeholders to evolve the company’s State-level government relations strategy.

The Director of Government Relations will have 8+ years in the healthcare, finance, or social services industry in a government relations, legislative or regulatory lobbying role.

The ideal candidate also has extensive experience in the following areas:

· Ability to create and fostering partnerships with Medicaid and other State related agencies.

· Effectively manage local lobbying relationships and meet with members of State legislatures, their staff and other State government officials.

· Advance the efficacy of advocacy programs to grow home and community-based services that support Medicaid members and family caregivers.

· Research, analyze and monitor current and future industry trends, regulatory, environmental and competitive conditions and identify new markets.

· Develop and implement the company’s State engagement strategy, prioritizing the activities and efforts supporting policy objectives and our growth agenda.

· Implement ongoing advocacy and engagement plans to ensure positive and productive relations with State officials.

· Establish and maintain trusted and productive relationships with local lobbyists, to ensure performance expectations are met concerning the State-level work for which they are contracted; identify and coordinate best practices amongst the network of lobbyists and consultants to drive continuous improvement.
