Job Description

The Capital Markets Derivatives Heritage Team comprises of resources in the US, UK, France, Germany, and Tunisia. The team has expertise in GMI, UBIX and ClearVision systems which support the post-trade futures and options business for a large number of banks and financial institutions globally.

The GMI MAR needs to be a US based resource that, if called upon, can be deployed to the client sites, predominantly in Chicago, therefore, location and US time zone, are drivers for this hire.

What you will be doing:

  • This is a client facing role, and you will be the dedicated client single point of contact, for all GMI technical and functional issues that are raised outside of the standard maintenance help desk tasks.
  • This role will be supporting a tier 1 client and their internal teams.
  • Utilize expertise to research Client reported issues relating to GMI functionality and perform root cause analysis.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions with regards to issues raised on GMI functionality to use the system correctly and to its full potential.
  • Assist with the implementation and testing of new GMI modules licenced by the Client.
  • Recommend FIS specialists where applicable, for issues which would require specific expertise.
  • Assist Client resources with design of functional specifications relating to new GMI enhancement requests.
  • Assisting Client with internal GMI application projects as directed by the Client.
  • Act as a liaison between Supplier’s development and product planning groups and the Client.
  • Provide expertise on Client Service Bulletins (CSBs), quarterly Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs), and exchange initiatives to assist Client in installation and testing of any new Solution core modules or programs.
  • Manage weekly meetings with the Client to review and provide updates on prioritized items.

What you will need:

  • In-depth knowledge of FIS GMI product and the futures industry.
  • Typically, three or more years of demonstrated client support/business systems analysis/consulting experience and demonstrated technical capabilities with GMI.
  • You will need to be comfortable in a client facing role dealing and able to handle direct communication with the client and their internal partners and all levels of management.
  • Be able to proactively prioritize client tasks in a fast-moving environment often with mandatory deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve across multiple teams for issue resolution.
  • Flexibility to support our global client base across multiple time zones.

Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging capabilities on client reported issues related to GMI functionality.
