We champion an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, dedicated people to join Alcon. As a Global Transportation Analyst together with our Global Transportation Team in Ft. Worth, Texas, you will be trusted with analyzing supply chain processes and recommend any applicable adjustments for efficiency.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Effectively work with Alcon carriers to ensure product is shipped On-Time in Full (OTIF).
- Manages reporting for OTIF, lead-times, and shipment tracking.
- Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing various types of logistics data including: Availability of product, Reliability of transport and delivery, Product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
- Reviews logistics processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
- Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, parts procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics.
- Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
- Leading all aspects of transportation processes and product delivery by tracking and reviewing invoices, shipment status, and delivery route activity.
What you'll bring to Alcon:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10yrs; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience
- Work hours: Monday through Friday / 8:00am – 5:00pm
