Eaton’s Corporate Finance team is looking for a Global Finance Transformation FP&A Director to join our team as we continue to advance as a world-class function. The preferred location for this position is our Beachwood, OH corporate office, but other major Eaton locations could be considered with increased travel.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $168750.0 - $247500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the SVP, Finance Transformation & FP&A leader, this Director has responsibility for providing strategic FP&A transformation leadership and support globally. The individual will be responsible for developing and setting strategic priorities and roadmaps, support the execution of transformation initiatives lead by the businesses, and leading execution of corporate led projects including quick wins and value delivery. This person will serve as a voting member on the Finance Transformation Design Authority, representing FP&A. The FP&A areas of responsibility will include but not limited to planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and analysis.

Essential functions:

  • Define and align FP&A strategic priorities across the enterprise with the Eaton Finance Transformation Vision
  • Work with Transformation Execution leads to create and implement a robust and strategic FP&A transformation and execution plan
  • Support the development of implementation plans for achievement of FP&A strategy including processes, technology, and talent
  • Primary owner of FP&A processes including current state and future state process maps and improvement plans
  • Oversee FP&A talent management processes including the identification and execution of talent requirements, operating model adjustments and team realignment opportunities
  • Develop business cases surrounding FP&A technology selection decisions, employ a prioritization framework and recommend approval/ budget allocation
  • Serve as point of contact on FP&A components of the Finance Transformation portfolio project technical and data related inquires and IT related issues / risks
  • Serves as coach, model, and cultural steward for the Eaton Mission, Leadership Attributes, Aspirational Goals and Doing Business Right

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in FP&A and diverse finance roles in a large multi-national enterprise format.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing world-class FP&A in manufacturing/industrial industry or within large multinational consulting firm
  • M.B.A. or M.S. degree in finance and/or related discipline is preferred
  • Experience in a global and matrixed organization
  • Project management experience with PMP certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with large, multi-year transformation projects including operating model, process and technology-enabled transformations

Skills:

  • Experience with leading FP&A transformation including driver-based forecasting, business process automation, strategic FP&A operating model design, and innovative/ related enabling technology (data science, analytics, ERP, and EPM packages)
  • Knowledge of FP&A leading practices including driver-based forecasting algorithms and modeling
  • Expertise in at least one FP&A technology (e.g., ERP, EPM, Cloud, Analytics) and broad, digital mindset
  • Experience with Key Performance Indicator development and mapping to reporting personas/ analytics dashboard development
  • Strong project management skillset, including project scoping and planning, structure thinking, and risk identification & resolution
  • Strong ability to coordinate action and collaborate across globally dispersed workforce
  • Demonstration of effective leadership, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills necessary to interact and influence senior management in both corporate finance and the business
