The Opportunity:

Currently, Ryerson is looking for General Warehouse Helpers for our warehouse in Plymouth, MN for all shifts.

The successful candidate will work within a metal processing environment loading and unloading trucks as well as being responsible for:

Candidate will be responsible to:
1.Keep work area(s) Safe and Productive
2.Fill in for absent positions as qualified, excluding maintenance, as needed on a daily basis.
3.Assemble material for shipment or machines in accordance with specifications and instructions on orders.
4.Select material from specific heats or for physical condition in accordance with instructions on orders.
5.Count, weigh, record heat or test numbers or symbols, list random lengths and other necessary information on orders as required.
6.Unload and receive material, weights, counts, check sizes. Identify by color and heat or test numbers. Place into stock rack or designated areas. Record necessary information on receiving tickets or other documents.
7.Perform tallying, stamping, sorting and re-oiling as required.
8.Maintain safety, quality and productivity standards of each job assignment.

Secondary Responsibilities:
1.Keep areas clean and organized.
2.Complete assignments as directed.
3.See supervisor after all assignments have been completed for further direction.

See your supervisor for additional duties and responsibilities once both primary and secondary responsibilities are completed.

Position Requirements:
*High School Diploma or GED required
*Certified fork truck experience preferred.
*Crane experience preferred (sheet lifter, chains, slings, hoists, or hooks).
*Experience with hand tools for banding and packaging material.
*SAP experience preferred.
*Understand work order packaging specifications.
