Responsibilities:
Greater Hudson Valley Health System Medical Group is looking for Endocrinologist to join the 190+ multi-specialty Medical group. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient clinical duties. Gastroenterologists admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients ages 17 and older, with injuries or disorders of the Digestive Tract. Treatment includes management of disorders such as, but not limited to obesity, rectal fissures, liver disease, gallbladder disease, GERD, Barrett’s Esophagus as well as performing routine and required endoscopic services. . Gastroenterologists may provide care to patients in the in-patient units performing consults and providing care in out-patient clinics. Gastroenterologists assess, stabilize and determine disposition of patients with emergent and non-emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. Gastroenterologist will treat diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, which include the organs from mouth into anus, along the alimentary canal – such as the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, and the liver.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
Residency trained in USA

Fellowship in Gastroentrology


Minimum Experience: Graduating from Gastroenterology Fellowship are welcome to apply

Certification/Registration Requirement:
License - Active NY State Medical License
Board Eligibility/ Board Certification in Gastroenterology within 5 years of fellowship completion
DEA - NY State required
Infection Control - NY State
Certified BLS certification preferred ACLS certification required
ECFMG required if applicable
