Dakota Home Care is now hiring Home Health Aides and offering on the job training!

Status: Seeking Full-Time and Part-Time HHA’s

Full Time:
Day Shifts: 36-40 hours per week including every other weekend rotation. Schedules vary from 8 hour to 12 hours shifts anywhere between 8 am and 8 pm.
Night Shifts: 36 hours per week including every other weekend rotation. 12-hour shifts, 8 pm to 8 am.

Part Time:
Day Shifts: 8-28 hours per week. Schedules vary from 8 am to 12 p and 12 p to 4 p.
Evening shifts: 8-28 hours per week. 4 p to 8 p.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
  • Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
  • Plan and prepare meals
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Provide high quality care
  • Enforce health and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment preferred
  • Supportive and compassionate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
