Position Title: Front Store Associate

Location: Various Hayat Pharmacy Locations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Purpose:

The Front Store Associate position performs a wide variety of duties to serve customers in the retail area of the pharmacy. The Associate’s main duties are to greet and welcome customers, stock and maintain a clean and orderly retail display, and take payment for over the counter medications and other items purchased at the Pharmacy. Assist and guide patients to the pharmacy to ensure optimal level of customer service and patient care is offered.

The company operates robust community-based pharmacies that offer award-winning services such as medication packaging, medication management, and free prescription delivery. Hayat Pharmacy focuses on providing opportunities for customers to achieve high quality health outcomes through access, education, and in-home consultation, and in building and maintaining strong relationships with community medical providers and other external stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage customers as they arrive and offer assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience, or refer to the Operations Manager as needed.
• Register customer purchases on a cash register, collect cash or credit card and process payment according to set procedures. Make change as appropriate and provide the customer with a receipt.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well stocked.
• Assist with inventory counts and with maintaining adequate supplies of items. When new supplies arrive, sort, and stock appropriately. Ensure the orders are correct and match the invoice.
• Maintain records by recording or filing stock orders and delivered supplies. Ensure the third-party logistics/carrier’s process are followed.
• Comply with safety measures by adhering to established procedures to maintain a safe environment and reduce or minimize loss.
• Comply with quality standards by following set process, policies and privacy regulations.
• Maintain the over-all cleanliness, organization and orderliness throughout the pharmacy.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or the Pharmacist.

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience in a pharmacy, retail or medical environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable dependability and customer-focused attitude.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills and/or point-of-sale machines to process payments and complete transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend and perform a lift of up to 25 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
