OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate is someone who is able to adapt to fast paced environments and create innovative solutions with guidance and support. They will be a core part of the physical therapy care team and contribute towards high quality care for patients. Additionally, they will have a calm approach to problem solving and sudden changes or obstacles. Although not required, experience including phone calls and scheduling is greatly appreciated.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling patients for initial and follow up appointments as well as scheduling aide staff for shifts weekly
- Answering phone calls from current and prospective patients, insurance companies, and other clinics
- Collecting payments from patients including copays, co-insurances, cancel fees, supplies, and bill payments
- Verifying insurance by calling insurers or through electronic means to determine a patient’s coverage
- Obtaining and tracking authorizations from insurer
- Processing paperwork, including transferring records to patients and external clinics as well as adding documents received from external sources to patient records
- Supporting physical therapists in administrative requests including calling lost patients, meeting regularly to discuss company policy changes, and adjusting to daily schedule changes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
