Front Desk Attendant Job at Bretton Woods Rec
The Pool Front Desk Attendant will provide facility access and customer service for members and guests of the pool at Bretton Woods Recreation Center, Inc. We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and focused individuals who enjoy working with people.
Reports to: Pool Manager
Supervises: None
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proficient in basic computer operations and ability to learn point-of-sale system
- Red Cross or equivalent certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid and Lifeguard preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other pool staff
- Strong communication skills and command of the English language
- Ability to react calmly and effectively when addressing patron needs, suggestions, and policies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where change and improvement is always present
- Availability to work an open schedule to include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation. No public transportation is available
Essential Functions
- Assist in the execution of emergency action plans as directed by Management
- Understand pool rules, regulations, event schedules and program information
- Perform general care and cleaning of the pool office, and assists with facility maintenance
- Communicate in a friendly, professional, clear, and concise manner to members, guests and staff
- Exercise mature judgement at all times
- Assist pool guests with requests and concerns, and take appropriate action
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear required uniform
- Answer phone calls and direct caller to appropriate extension
- Greet and check in members and guests using point-of-sale computer system
- Handle merchandise sale transactions
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Sit for extended periods of time outdoors in hot, humid weather
- Bending, lifting, carrying, squatting, walking, pushing and pulling equipment with or without assistance
