Fleet Forklift Mechanic and Building Maintenance Technician
Schedule: 4/10 Schedule Monday - Thursday Day Shift
$36 - $39 / hour
Day 1 Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision and accrual starts being earned for time off
Other Benefits: life insurance, disability, paid vacation, 401k with match, tuition reimbursement and more!
Yearly tool and boot allowance. PPE and uniforms are provided at no cost.
The Forklift Mechanic's primary purpose will require the individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on not only our fleet vehicles which consist of, but not limited to: gas and diesel engine yard trucks, hydraulic systems, and forklifts. But also supports the preventative maintenance and repair of dock doors and dock levelers. Training will be provided.
Job Duties Include:
Troubleshooting and repairing dock doors and dock leveler plates
Troubleshooting and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment
Program and record assigned preventative maintenance tasks
Assist in education of the Delivery Drivers and newly hired employees on pre and post trip inspections.
Receive and process invoices for payment
Act as a vendor billing point of contact
Maintain parts inventory and budget
Maintain work area ensuring organization and cleanliness
Ensure safe work practices. Qualifications
Two years technical education completed or have three years hands-on experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
Ability to handle physical requirements, including, but not limited to, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting up to 60 pounds
Valid drivers license
Shop lifting equipment knowledge and demonstrated safety procedures within seven days of employment
Transman system access and training within seven days of employment
Summit dock door and dock leveler training within three months of employment
Yale/Anorld Machinery training/certification within three months of employment
ASE T1 Certification required within twelve months of employment when applicable
Positive team player attitude
Possesses exceptional work ethic, energy, and self-driven
