Job Title: Forklift Mechanic
Department: Field Services
Supervisor: Service Manager
Job Purpose:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide maintenance service on lift trucks and various material handling equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Change oil on vehicles
- Preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Assess and repair damages and mechanical problems on lift trucks
- Provide lift truck maintenance services at customer locations
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- This position requires at least a vocational education in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance, or equivalent experience
- Should have at least 6 months experience servicing forklifts
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel in order to work on equipment.
- Most of the time on this job is spent in a warehouse setting
- Some travel to customer locations is required, so outside work may be required
