$69,400 - $78,700

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (other days and hours as needed)


Job Summary

As a part of the Technical Services team you will manage departmental functions related to food safety. This role encompasses technical and administrative responsibilities to promote organization, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within the department.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize food safety knowledge to ensure compliance with the Food Safety Plan and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Collegedale Operations’ Internal Audit Team and assist with regulatory audits.
  • Manage and lead multiple food safety related projects, acting as customer and management contact throughout the project.
  • Serve as a food safety liaison to other departments.
  • Oversee Environmental Monitoring Program and Hygienic Zoning initiatives.
  • Manage micro validation studies related to sanitation and baking.
  • Administrator for the Quality Systems Portal (QSP), Qualtrax, and departmental trace exercises.
  • Manage SharePoint sites for Plant Technical Services, Food Safety Team, and Internal Audit Team.
  • Develop and manage food safety related training and communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Four year degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex, technical projects of significant importance and value
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams to successful completion of objectives
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
  • Excellent understanding of food safety principles as applied in a food manufacturing facility
  • Successful at building relationships across an organization to influence a culture of food safety
  • Proven excellent work record with demonstrated high levels of initiative and self-direction
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accept, facilitate and implement change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong commitment to and support of McKee Foods values, ethics, goals, and objectives
