Everyday as a Food Service Specialist you will:
  • Prepare food based on nutritional requirements and guidelines
  • Serve food to clients and student in the serving line
  • Prepare take out meals and possibly deliver on campus
  • Prepare food and set up for meetings
  • Dishing washing/cafeteria clean up/table and floors as needed
  • Record documentation related to special diets and intake as indicated

Payrate: $15.00-$17.10/hr (based on experience and education)


Sign On Bonus: FT=$1,000 (sign on bonus for external applicants only)


Shift:
5:30am-1:30PM, every other weekend off

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS)
center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) COVID-19 vaccine mandate requires staff without an approved medical or religious exemption to be fully vaccinated to be employed in this program. Qualifications:

Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.


  • If you are in a non-direct role or working a direct role with Adults and applying for this position, you will be required to complete the Diana Screen. At this time, those who are already in a direct role working with children applying for another direct role working with children do not need to complete the screen.


EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED and Certification by County Board of Health required.


EXPERIENCE
: 1 year experience in food preparation and must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
