POSITION SUMMARY

The Food Server is responsible for delivering hospitality to our guests with genuine and personable conversation. This position is critical to our guest’s overall experience as the Food Server must ensure the guest has a memorable experience throughout their dining experience. As a restaurant server, it is your responsibility to seek to understand the guest’s needs from the initial greeting to their departure while enhancing their experience with engaging service to compel them to comment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
  • Observes guest's body language to anticipate the guest’s needs to add to their exceptional experience.
  • Deliver genuine hospitality to and establish emotional connections with our guests
  • Guides our guests through the menu to assist with their experience by informing them of our specials and signature items.
  • Contribute to the overall teamwork and success of the restaurant
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Communicates allergy sensitivity from guests to managers to culinary.
  • Adheres to all alcohol awareness procedures
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and alert a manager immediately
  • Process payments and handle cash professionally and accurately
  • Communicate with managers and hosts regarding table availability and key table updates
  • Follow up with guests about their meal and dining experience to ensure great guest satisfaction
  • Maintain high level of cleanliness and sanitation
  • Carries clean dishes, glassware, etc. to their designated locations to ensure supplies are available.
  • Demonstrate professional and gracious demeanor at all times
  • Thanks guests for coming in with a personable farewell and inviting them to return.
  • Perform all opening, running, and closing duties accurately
  • Perform any job function requested by the management team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Frequent walking, kneeling, bending and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Continuous standing required to service guest functions; 100% of the time scheduled.
  • Coordination skills that allow proper writing, pouring and carrying of several drinks and plates at the same time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to communicate (speak, read, and write) in English.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must meet local, legal minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
