FM Operations Manager

Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Westminster

We currently have a new requirement for either a mechanical or electrical bias FM Operations Manager to join the management team at one our central government contracts in London. This is a PFI total FM contract providing a wide range of services for our client. This particular role will involve supporting our Senior Operations Manager in leading and developing the technical team.

Key activities:

  • Be responsible for the delivery of services to the highest standard, ensuring the effective management of staff, the provision of excellent customer service
  • To assist with the effective management of contractual performance, including the incurrence of financial penalties, to ensure that all services are delivered to the contract specification
  • Ensure contract compliance with all auditing bodies both internal and external
  • To work with the Senior Operations Manager to maintain Target Operating Model for required CPs, APs and RPs
  • Ensure appropriate training provisions on induction and use of equipment and to identify training needs for the service
    Exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets
  • Assist in the formulation of budgets, business plans and departmental strategies
  • Manage all associated subcontracted services and to ensure that subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner
  • Champion continuous improvement, energy efficiency and environmental improvements
  • To deputise for the Senior Operations Manager, Hard Services in their absence

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • To have an appropriate level of academic or vocational qualification relevant to the building services environment. Level 3 qualified either in mechanical or electrical
  • Must have or be able to get government security clearance, essential CTC level preferably to SC level
  • High level of IT literacy in using Microsoft and CAFM packages (intermediate/advanced Excel and Word)
  • Strong personnel management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good financial awareness
  • Trained in COSHH, manual handling and basic Health and Safety awareness and safe working practices
