Summary

Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and supplies equipment to the paper industry. We are looking for engineers to join our Automation Group in Appleton, Wisconsin, to develop fluids control systems. In this role, you will be exposed to many facets of engineering and interface with colleagues worldwide. This position is located in Appleton, Wisconsin.


Responsibilities –

  • Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Review product designs for compliance with sound engineering principles, company standards, customer purchase order requirements, and related technical and mill specifications.
  • Develops and prepare drawings, documentation, part records, bills of material, and instruction manuals for orders.
  • Coordinate engineering and related order issues with external customers and internally with sales, product management, application engineering, and purchasing groups.
  • Performs technical calculations.
  • Cultivates relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends.
  • Follow instructions for other engineers and managers.
  • Communicate work status with engineering and project management staff.
  • Travels as required for project meetings, installation assistance, training, start-up service, and troubleshooting machinery.
  • Interacts with the business ERP system as required.
  • Must be able to travel 60%
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Industrial experience a plus.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic control systems is a plus.
  • Position can be tailored to different levels of experience.
  • Willingness to learn.
