*Summary*
The Financial Analyst is a key member of the project team and supports the Project Manager with all financial aspects of the project including cost control, customer invoicing, financial analysis, and reporting. The incumbent in this position will have significant interface with the Project Management organization in addition to the functional areas of Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Field Service.
*Responsibilities*

  • Understand commercial terms of projects as specified in contracts.
  • Plan cash-in schedule according to contract and initiate customer billing process with all required supporting documents.
  • Setup contract budget and initial forecast in SAP.
  • Monitor and control project cost structure during project execution, ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct WBS elements.
  • Process change notifications in SAP to record cost deviations.
  • Update budget and forecast for customer change orders.
  • Perform PoC sales forecast for individual projects and monitor deviations closely.
  • Raise early flags for any potential risks as well as opportunities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision making of Project Managers, such as make/buy, schedule crashing, etc.
  • Provide periodical project related reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Perform project related period end closing activities.
  • Support Project Manager and Commercial Manager on claim management.
  • Manage special responsibilities assigned

*Qualifications*

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • An advanced degree would be a plus
  • Previous experience in project-business or manufacturing environment would be preferred
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Accounting Standards (US GAAP & IFRS)
  • Expertise in Excel and overall MS Office suite
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP would be a plus)
