Covenant Physician Partners is hiring a Financial Analyst to join our team at our Nashville Service Center located in Downtown Nashville, TN.

About the Opportunity

The Analyst of Financial Operations (Managed Care) reports to the VP of Financial Operations with a dotted line to SVP of Payor Strategies and is responsible for the administrative tasks of the managed care department, mainly dealing with reporting and analysis, payer relations, and communication. This position will support the managed care strategy and planning to align business operations with company’s mission and goals. This position will provide strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, forecast and other projects requested by senior management to allow business owners to make sound management decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis efforts for all contract negotiations.
  • Understand government pricing methodologies and monitor annual changes to all entity-type CMS Fee Schedules.
  • Maintain fee schedules in claims systems for all payor agreements.
  • Prepare company revenue projections for annual budget by entity reflecting all managed care contracting initiatives and changes to government fee schedules.
  • Assist in due diligence analysis for potential acquisitions and new physicians.
  • Develop and maintain rate/payer analysis report for extensive company use, including center and billing staff, through shared network.
  • Develop Managed Care Board Reports for all corporate and entity-level quarterly board meetings.
  • Coordinate and track Single Case Agreements.
  • Aid in development and maintenance of status reports on key Managed Care Team initiatives for Executive Staff Members and individual entity/practice leadership.
  • Manage entity-level contract assignments across all new acquisitions.
  • Submit, track, and follow-up on contracts including: analysis, cover letters, mailing, etc,.
  • General filing, E-Filing, scheduling, and administrative tasks for the department.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated applications, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements.
  • Utilize Business Intelligence Tools to create and maintain Dashboards and operations reports.
  • Support the Senior Management Team and field leadership with in-depth analysis.
  • Provides analysis and problem solving; develops creative solutions that meets the Company’s strategic objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

About the Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a corporate finance environment.
  • Experience in financial modeling preferred.
  • Healthcare finance experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel is a must. Power Point, BI tools and ERP experience skills (i.e. NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, SmartSheets etc.) are desirable.
