Financial Analyst Job at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.

The Financial Analyst, Corporate Development analyzes network moves, cost savings projects, and existing and new business opportunities, including new customer deals and M&A activity, utilizing complex company models. In this capacity, the Analyst is responsible for analyzing and synthesizing data from internal and external sources and liaising with groups across the company to fully understand opportunities and potential impacts.
Job Description
You will contribute by:
Prepare financial analyses for chain and large customer negotiations, including performing item file analysis, synthesis of operations and gross profit analytics, cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement impacts.
Coordinate analytical needs to determine impact of potential supply transactions, primarily for large chain grocer deals.
Develop financial models to present new business/volume realignment/cost savings project opportunities for the company.
Coordinate across all business departments in the company to confirm correct financial assumptions for specific opportunities.
Assist operations group to develop analysis to support proposal; ensure correct representation of financials.
Present proposal to senior business, operations, and finance leadership.
Assist in deal modeling for M&A opportunities, including IRR, cash flows, and balance sheet evaluation. This includes synthesizing vast amounts of data from various sources to determine the viability of the opportunity.
Carry out ad hoc analysis as needed.
