Eaton is seeking a Finance Manager for their fast-growing eMobility Division. This Hybrid role can be supported on-site from our Southfield, Michigan; Galesburg, Michigan; or Beachwood Ohio facility. Relocation is available for a qualified candidate currently residing in the US.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $116250.03 - $170500.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

Partners with the eMobility Director of Finance, Business President, and Senior Leadership Team to drive the financial performance of Eaton's eMobility business. Helps maximize profitable growth and ensures the business is compliant to corporate financial policies, legal requirements, and GAAP. Manages monthly financial actuals and forecast process, implements financial policies and procedures, and provides advice and counsel to the regional leadership teams and plant teams. Reports to the eMobility Finance Director, and frequently interfaces with Business President, Regional VP/GMs, Regional Controllers, and Vehicle Group and Industrial Sector leadership team.

  • Provide guidance and support in the consolidation, reporting and analysis of monthly results and forecasts, including appropriate commentary to the Division, Group, Sector and Corporate leadership teams. Highlight areas of concern and recommend improvement actions.
  • Assure the existence and competency of financial systems and procedures to comply with GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, and corporate policies and procedures to guarantee the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Drive financial process and systems improvements to ensure the integrity of financial results and to improve efficiencies
  • Coordinate and lead annual cost roll process
  • Controller for Vehicle Group Headquarters ledger
  • Lead the annual Profit Plan and Strategic Plan process and prepare / present in partnership with Finance Director
  • Partner with the regional finance teams to analyze, communicate, and take action on key operating issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive policy and process improvements
  • Proactively build reporting tools and analysis
  • Create presentations for senior leadership meetings
  • Lead Finance training and development initiatives
  • Oversee a team of 1-3 financial analysts
  • Acting as a liaison between Sector Finance and the Regional businesses
  • Interact with senior management in a wide variety of domestic and international projects and provide financial analysis as applicable. Lead special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • 7 years of progressive finance & accounting experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
  • Previous experience leading teams (direct reports).
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of manufacturing accounting & finance principles and concepts in preferably industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of standard costing.
  • Demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently.
  • Exhibits leadership in defending a position and handling conflict.
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial and operational analyses/reports.
  • Effectively challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas.
  • Acts as a strategic business partner and provides broad thought leadership.
  • Ability to Effectively work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word software.
  • Ability to travel ~ 25% as required by business.
