Responsibilities

This position offers relocation assistance!

Provides support to families with children prenatal through five years of age who have been identified by assessment as having multiple risk factors that could increase risk of possible child abuse or neglect. Families receive support services largely through home visitation prenatally and/or at the birth of their child through year five. Important aspects of service include parent education developmental assessment role-modeling knowledge of and referral to community resources advocacy emotional support and record keeping. Provides weekly ongoing clinical oversight of Family Support Specialist (FSS) staff in accordance with Healthy Families Policies & Procedures. Ensures Healthy Families FSS related Quality Assurance requirements are met.

Qualifications

Minimum
  • Bachelors Degree in Education Child Development Psychology Social Work or a health-related field
  • Three years of experience in clinical assessment/interviews with one year of experience working with infants and/or families
  • One year of experience providing clinical supervision or oversight/support of staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to primary prevention
  • Demonstrated ability working with families.
  • Ability to effectively utilize community resources
  • Ability to listen in a non-judgmental manner to discuss and resolve problems while providing emotional support
  • Positive role-modeling and teaching skills
  • Ability to exercise flexibility and patience
  • Must be able to utilize a team approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer literacy
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
Preferred
  • Spanish language skills

Pay Range
$25.25 - $36.61 /hour
