We have partnered with a leader in the packing industry. This company is looking for an Extrusion Operator to join their team!
Hours: 8pm-8am on a rotating schedule (training is on day shift)
Responsibilities:
- Run a 3-layer or 5-layer film extrusion machine following all work instructions to produce a product that conforms to standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems as necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with operating an extruder OR a strong manufacturing background required
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Have basic math skills
- Good organizational skills
Environment:
This role operates in a manufacturing environment. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required. Hairnets and beard nets required for SQF. Employee is exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and extreme hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area, especially during extremely hot summer months.
