Cortland Smiles is excited to announce that we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced dental assistant. Our growing general dentistry practice is located in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood. Candidates to be considered must have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly/enthusiastic approach to providing gentle yet skilled dental care. Experience with Dentrix Ascend, digital/intraoral imaging, Cerec AC Connect scanning, and four-handed dentistry is preferred. Compensation dependent on experience. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

· 2-3+ years of dental assisting experience

· Current CPR/BLS certification

· Coronal Polishing certification(preferred)

· Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules

· Digital imaging and xrays

· Infection control/Sterilization of instruments

· Ordering clinical supplies

· Sending out and monitoring of lab cases

· Chart prepping

· PVS/Alginate impressions – pouring up models

· Retainer/Whitening tray fabrication

· Invisalign

· Intraoral scanning (preferred)

· Assisting doctor with composite, crown/bridge, periodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and cosmetic procedure appointments

· Assist other team members as needed
