Role Overview:

Are you looking to build relationships with senior executives at many of the world’s largest brands? At Splunk, we’re looking for an experienced leader to guide our new Executive Customer Experience (ECX) team, collaborating with senior executives from Splunk’s most valuable customers.

Splunk has created a new Executive Customer Experience team to roll out our elite Platinum Program for a number of the world’s largest enterprises and most innovative, growing companies. This global role will lead a talented and experienced team to build customer relationships and create stronger connections with important customers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Customer Advocacy and Executive Programs, you will collaborate closely with Splunk’s senior executives, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Advocacy, Content Marketing, Global Events Marketing, Field Marketing to manage a comprehensive Executive Customer Experience strategy, including opportunities to connect with leading technology and security executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, hire and grow a team of marketers and executive program managers to establish Splunk’s Executive Customer Experience and launch a new Platinum Program for the most important Global Priority Accounts (GPAs) based on current and potential revenue for Splunk
  • Establish KPIs and metrics that matter for this new Executive Customer Experience team, working closely with Marketing and Sales Operations and Customer Success
  • Revamp our Executive Sponsor Program to connect Splunk senior leaders with C-level executives at Splunk’s largest enterprise accounts
  • Create a CISO Advisory Council for security leaders at our 50 most important accounts in America and Europe in Year 1, expanding to the Asia Pacific region in Year 2
  • Oversee a talented team to maximize our customer Executive Briefing Center in-person and virtually to connect with executives from customers and prospects to advance deal opportunities and foster long-term relationships
  • Establish an ongoing calendar of networking and social opportunities with customer executives across Splunk and 3rd party opportunities, dinners, and conferences
  • Champion our annual customer awards, the Splunkie Awards, and generate submissions from the top accounts
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Advocacy team to capture marketing activities and acts of advocacy
  • Create a scalable approach to customer senior executives to encourage renewals, expansions, and referrals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications or equivalent related work experience
  • 10+ years in corporate marketing, executive marketing, customer advocacy, B2B marketing, event marketing, or product marketing with proven experience leading or supporting executive events
  • 5+ years of experience specifically managing executive customer programs and events, including creatively maximizing a budget to create unique, memorable experiences for customers
  • Experience as a director or manager or executive programs isrequired; experience in the cybersecurity industry, SaaS or Cloud technology is strongly preferred
  • A trusted, collaborative partner with the ability to interact clearly and concisely with customers, executives, marketing and sales with professionals at all levels
  • Data-driven mindset to continuously measure and evaluate impact and value; experience identifying key performance metrics and building executive dashboards to track progress
  • Experience with customer briefing centers, executive advisory boards, and executive sponsor programs strongly preferred
  • Existing C-level executive and influencer relationships in the technology industry strongly preferred
  • A natural affinity for building relationships and connections both internally and with customers; experience working with global enterprises, collaborating with customers, and connecting with senior executives are strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and grow teams, and passion for bringing out the best in people; experience building a new team is desirable
  • Ability to collaborate and influence with internal and external stakeholders while building strong customer relationships

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and benefits, and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $190,400 - 261,800 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $172,800 - 237,600 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $156,800 - 215,600 per year
