Job Details

The Executive Chef is responsible for directing and overseeing the entire kitchen team and working closely with the front of house. They run the kitchen as if belongs to them. Their duties include shift work, cooking, preparation, training and scheduling kitchen staff, monitoring quality control of food leaving the kitchen, tracking, and ordering inventory, and creating and executing new menu items.

Essential Job Functions

· Takes ownership of all kitchen operations

· Helps curate and execute menu items

· Understands and tracks inventory, ordering, production, and cooking of all dishes

· Creates great food and drink

· Provides quality food and beverage to guests

· Receives, verifies, and properly stores all food and ingredients

· Anticipates and responds to guests needs

· Maintains clean and organized workspace throughout the operation

· Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all aspects of food, beverages, and restaurant operations

· Supports ware washing and cleaning of back of house spaces

· Maintains regular and punctual attendance

· Maintains uniform and grooming standards

· Takes responsibility for all cook job functions

Qualifications

· Previous experience cooking in high-end, fast-paced environment

· Previous experience in supervisory role

· Previous experience in customer-facing environment

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

· Certified in food safety and allergens
