Adirondack Studios (ADKS) is hiring an additional assertive and experienced Estimator with a track record of taking ownership and delivering!

The successful hire will:
Organize and compile accurate estimates for custom fabrication projects based upon understanding of scope of work, design drawings, and specifications.
Identify, quantify, and compile all cost information for designated projects including labor, materials, special machinery requirements, subcontractors, as well as site related labor, material and equipment requirements.
Proficiency in creating both a detailed bottom-up costing approach and Top down Rough Order of Magnitude costing documents.
Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
Follow company guidelines on the preferred selection of vendors and products. Work with internal team and selected vendors to obtain the best solution, most competitive price, and lead-time assessments on materials.
Assist Business Development in the preparation of proposals as well as support during bid reviews.
Responsible for post project analysis of estimates (Estimates vs. Actuals)

Desired skills include:
Construction experience
Estimating experience
Proficiency in mathematics, statistics and data analysis
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strategic planning skills
Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database management
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional time management skills
Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
Experience in theatre or creative field (design, stage management, fabrication, etc.)

This position will be headquartered out of Argyle, New York (1 hour north of Albany and 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs).
