Escrow Officer is responsible for opening new escrows, coordinating all escrow activities and maintaining client relationships to build the book of business. Escrow Officer will train and assign duties to assistants and oversee all daily activities on their desk as necessary to meet time deadlines. Escrow Officer must have outstanding communication skills, exceptional customer services abilities and industry software experience preferred. QUALIA / RBJ

Qualifications and Duties: Candidates should be registered with the DFPI working with an INDEPENDENT ESCROW COMPANY as an ESCROW OFFICER.

  • Manage the entire escrow process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender instructions, title requirements, company requirements & any other written instructions.
  • Process sales (all-cash and financed) and refis of homes and vacant land
  • Work with the lender to process the loan, prepare loan docs for signing, package signed loan docs, work with the lender to fund the loan and with title for recording of the deed of trust, grant deed, and other recordables
  • Perform work in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Order title reports and resolve any title issues, existing liens and any encumbrances against the property or principals
  • Order loan payoffs and homeowners association docs in a timely manner
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements, especially in regard to trust accounting
  • Anticipate and exceed the expectations of both our existing clients along with any potential customers you engage with
  • Ensure closing dates are met by making sure all parties to the transaction complete and return escrow paperwork in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity with an honest and organized work ethic
  • Working knowledge of escrow laws and processes
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve situations that could delay a closing
  • Perform under pressure, supersede deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
