ERP Specialist (Epicor Eclipse) Job at Mars Electric

Mars Electric is looking for an
ERP Specialist located in Mayfield Village.
The ERP Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining customized solutions in ERP System (Epicor Eclipse). Will determine business needs, design customized solutions, and integrate new technologies with existing ERP systems. Collaborates with senior managers and IT staff to determine which business processes need optimization, enhances the performance of Mars’ IT systems, and deploys suitable solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes existing infrastructure and resolves process or integration issues. Uses expertise in Lean techniques to streamline business processes.
- Establishes business needs via process analysis and consultation. Actively researches best practices through distributor networks, market research and user conferences to ensure Mars maximizes ERP capabilities.
- Liaison between Eclipse and third-party vendors on continuous improvement projects. Coordinates or designs customized programs and scripts, as well as configures ERP applications and where needed works with Eclipse or third parties to implement.
- Performs diagnostic tests and resolves issues to optimize performance and develops user-friendly functionalities and interfaces within Mars existing technology.
- Provides technical support and trains end-users on new and existing technology.
- Manages and maintains user authorizations and works closely with IT team to properly design, secure and configure software to ensure security and safeguard the integrity of Mars programs.
- Shares regular progress updates with management and documents new process processes.
- Adheres to company policies and industry regulations.
- Keeps abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and 3rd party product offerings.
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or similar preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in an ERP Specialist or similar role.
- Lean Certification preferred.
- Excellent communication including written, verbal, and presentation to senior level audience.
- Strong skills in business practice, project management or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, programming capabilities business processes.
- Must be able to travel between Mars’ locations.
