You will be responsible for the management and support of technicians in the field and the shop to ensure effective maintenance and repair of equipment. Responsible for safe, profitable, and efficient operations on all assigned projects and company job sites.
Conducts all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manages field and shop technicians on logistical and technical issues.
- Act as a technical advisor to all field equipment employees.
- Ensure all telematics systems are functioning correctly, equipment and drivers are accurately assigned, and that information is accurate.
- Support Equipment Manager with handling dealers and vendors.
- Ensure all technicians comply with Allan Myers Safety Program and Operational Standard Operating Procedure.
- Support projects with urgent equipment issues to ensure they are addressed timely.
- Administers timely and accurate documentation
- Demonstrates technical proficiency with maintenance of construction equipment.
- Maintains excellent satisfaction level through consistent communication and timely response to concerns and issues.
- Communicates performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to Technicians and ensures progress towards expectations.
- Responsible for operating company vehicle (Ford F-150).
- Approximately 80% of work time is anticipated to be Field based, Shop based or Vendor base.
- Approximately 20% of work time is anticipated to be office based. Williamsburg is the preferred location for the office-based work, but the actual location can be flexible within the Myers footprint based on the employee’s home location.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required (continuing education in construction highly desirable).
- Minimum 2 years of construction equipment utilization (such as master mechanic or equipment management), or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience (pipe, concrete, or paving) with one or more years Shop supervisory experience preferred.
- Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment
- Valid driver’s license required.
