Position Summary:

Tidal Basin Government Consulting needs emergency management and engineering professionals to fill a roster of standby staff for upcoming disaster work. If you have 3-5 years of experience and/or supporting certifications in the engineering fields listed below and have an interest in episodic work, we would like to hear from you!

The list below is an example of the type of engineering positions but if you have experience in a local or state EOC or experience in the field during a disaster response, please contact us. In addition to several others, we have a need for the following Engineering positions:

Nuclear Engineer-Distill complex information related to nuclear power plant actions, operations, and concerns into a form easily understood by laypersons and emergency responders, coordinate with responsible agencies and other technical experts during a nuclear power plant incident.

Energy Sector Specialist-Coordinate with the ESF 12/19 and other partners to assist with power or fuel incident response, and remediation; assist with strategic, tactical, and operation intelligence to provide timely, actionable information.

Structural Engineer-Advise on strategies to access and evaluate potentially compromised infrastructure such as bridges or buildings; serve as a liaison between agencies and other technical experts; relay complex information related to concerns and potential consequences for structurally unsound infrastructure.
