Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists the Manager/Directorin producing and maintaining a high quality housekeeping service. Supervises, trains and motivates the employees to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Training and development of new employees.
  • Performs process improvement activities.
  • Supervises and controls all production activities.
  • Provides employee with motivation, discipline and leadership.
  • Receives training and maintains self-development program to remain abreast of procedures.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
  • Appropriately access secured rooms with lock medication storage containers in order to perform assigned job function, which does not include management of medications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities and good organizational skills. Must be skilled at operating equipment and processes that will be required of production staff (within 90 days of hire). Computer skills and knowledge preferred.

Preferred: One to two years of experience in supervising 15-25 personnel in housekeeping or other production activities that resulted in high performance levels from subordinates

This comprehensive medical center features the only hybrid operating room in the county, a 24-hour emergency department with a Level II trauma center, and leading-edge cardiac care through the Heart Hospital of Austin at St. David’s Round Rock. Patients may also receive care related to rehabilitation services, women’s services, cancer care, neurology, joint replacement and orthotics, and more when visiting this facility.
