Environmental Services Aide Job at PrairieCare
The Environmental Services (EVS) Aide is responsible for servicing and cleaning assigned areas to ensure environmental service standards are met.
The hours for this role are 2p-1030p and every other weekend
This role is eligible for a $2000 hiring bonus
Responsibilities:
- Change linens and clean units including patient rooms, group rooms, offices and common areas
- Cleaning and extracting all floor services utilizing floor care equipment and maintaining floor care equipment
- Washing interior and exterior windows
- Trash removal and stock supplies
- Maintain safety throughout the facility by complying with Joint Commission standards, Infection Control Protocols and other PrairieCare policies
- After training, staff should be able to manage disruptive or explosive patients with the emphasis on personal safety/protection
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Thorough knowledge of Environmental Services procedures, generally gained through prior Environment Services experience
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and CDC safety guidelines as they pertain to maintaining a clean and safe work environment preferred
- Knowledge of various industrial cleaning machines preferred
- Ability to multi-task and use supplies in a safe and cost effective manner
- Willing and able to learn carpet/floor care machines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook preferred
