Plexus Scientific Corporation is seeking an Environmental Compliance Program Coordinator in support of our contract with the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve. The successful candidate will provide environmental compliance program support to ensure that facilities actions, military operations, and real estate actions can be accomplished in compliance with environmental compliance laws, regulations, and policies. The following provides an overview of duties and responsibilities:


Responsibilities, Areas of Experience, and Duties May Include:

  • Multi-media program management; implementation of a Hazardous Waste, Storage Tank, and SPCC program for the Army Reserve
  • Working knowledge of RCRA-C, RCRA-I, and SPCC regulations
  • Work with installations and commands to ensure that accurate data is being collected and reported
  • Research, review, and assist in the development of policies, procedures, and regulations to advance the Hazardous Waste, Storage Tank, and SPCC programs
  • Participate in meetings, briefings, events, and working groups to discuss items of interest to the Army Reserve surrounding Hazardous Waste, Storage Tank, and SPCC programs
  • Create and disseminate pertinent taskers to Army Reserve installations and commands that HQDA G-9 issues
  • Experience with:
    • Hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal regulations
    • Storage tank regulations and best practices for both AST and UST management
    • SPCC regulations, training requirements, and plan implementation
    • Data tracking and Management
    • Program management and strategic development
    • Waste minimization and pollution prevention opportunities


Education/Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Compliance, or related degree preferred
  • 2 - 5 years' experience in identified environmental media areas or related environmental field
  • Experience with Army and/DoD preferred
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Flexibility to move between multiple environmental media areas
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team
  • Ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment
  • Travel anticipated 4 - 6 times per year
