Your role at Clorox:
To lead Environmental Compliance throughout Burt’s Bees and drive ZWTL (Zero Waste to Landfill)
In this role, you will:
  • Communicate safety and sustainability.
  • Maintain and improve the ZWTL (Zero Waste to Landfill) Program in accordance to Corporate Policies.
  • Ensure Compliance to all applicable Federal, State and Local Regulations in regard to Environmental compliance.
  • Interact with Federal, State and Local environmental agencies when obtaining and/or reviewing environmental permits, during visits and inspections, and when submitting compliance documents.
  • Maintain accurate, current and orderly files for environmental documentation including permits, applications, monitoring records, compliance documents, and agency correspondence and inspection reports.
  • Review all permits regularly to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Complete all reports necessary both locally and with corporate office.
  • Manage external suppliers to handle waste and recycling sorting, removal and disposal.
  • Act as Site Safety Lead's Back-up
  • Maintain excellent team relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager
What we look for:
  • Experience and a good understanding of Environmental (EPA, county permits, regulatory) standards is required
  • Experience and a good understanding of OSHA standards is required
  • AS or BS degree in a technical discipline is desired.
  • Skill Block Level – Minimum of 2 is desired, but 3 is preferred
  • Strong background working with computer databases
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a rapid focused improvement
  • Demonstrate the ability to use MS Office tools create, update, and share data with groups in the plant.
  • Demonstrated experience in loss analysis
  • Good communication, presentation, Organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask is required.
Starting Base Pay: $27.72
