York Analytical Laboratories, Inc. is a leading full-service environmental laboratory servicing the New York City metro area, New Jersey and Connecticut. We are seeking qualified individuals to join our PFAS analytical 1st and 2nd shifts in Queens, New York.

Candidates should be able to immediately contribute within the PFAS group in terms of supporting the instrumentation and ultimately be readily trained for PFAS analysis.

Position Requirements and Prerequisites:

• 3-4 years minimum environmental testing lab experience
• Proficient with the operation, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting for HPLC or LC/MS (preferably Agilent)
• Experience with acquisition, data processing (preferably MassHunter) and reporting for PFAS analyses by EPA Methods 533, 537 or 1633 is a plus
• Knowledge of Promium Element LIMS is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Successful candidates will primarily be responsible for daily production, preparation and analysis environmental samples for PFAS compounds in drinking water, ground water, and soil.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of environmental samples for PFAS compounds in drinking water, ground water, and soil.
• Upon completion of training, successful completion of an Initial Demonstration of Capability, and annual Continuing Demonstrations of Capability.
• Participation in York’s Quality Program including, but not limited to Corrective and Preventative Actions.
• Comply with all Quality Assurance Protocols and SOPs.
• Other Duties as assigned by laboratory management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
