• Perform geotechnical calculations and designs for various projects and facilities including, but not limited to shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, tieback anchors, soil nails, concrete and earth dam slope stability and seepage studies.
• Assist in the preparation of written reports and documentation, geotechnical correspondence, design and construction drawings and specifications.
• Assist in the planning of subsurface explorations and laboratory testing investigations.
• Execute subsurface investigations in support of geotechnical design and evaluation efforts, including test boring inspection, site reconnaissance, and other means of data collection as required.
• Provide construction observation support during the construction phase of various projects.

• 
  Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
• Master’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering highly desired, will consider entry-level graduates with related internship experience or coursework
• 0-3 years of geotechnical experience with an emphasis in subsurface exploration and/or design and development of geotechnical deliverables including reports, drawings, and specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and report writing skills
• Strong leadership ability and personal initiative. The candidate is expected to have a genuine long-term interest in geotechnical engineering and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Excellent field observation and data collection/documentation skills
• Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons
• Must be able to traverse and carry equipment across rugged terrain
• Must have current Driver’s License

• E.I.T. preferred
• Experience with foundation and retaining wall designs, soil and/or rock slope mitigation, ground improvements, and earth structure design and analysis
• Experience with common geotechnical software such as APILE, LPILE, SHAFT, SLIDE, GeoStudio, DeepEx, gINT, etc.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD
